Ok so we decided to do a couple of weeks up in the Flinders to make sure the van is well prepared for our Oz Adventure.
Things didn’t start well, we pulled the van out of the shed and yes you guessed it we managed to rip the gas hot water system cover off the van, so yes there were a few running repairs to straighten our the flue and hammer our the bends on the cover. After that delay we managed to get on our way.
We decided to spend a week at Rawnsley Park Station. What a beautiful park with the most stunning views of Rawnsley’s Bluff and as they had a some rain a few weeks ago we have a stream running beside our van. Sitting having a drink this evening we had a kangaroo hop though and sheep grazing around the stream and the most stunning sunset. What more could a person ask for.
We did a drive to Wilpena Pound and a drive through the Gorges, stunning scenery and also did many walks that offered the most spectacular views as well as many varieties of flora and fauna. Highly recommend to everyone to make a trip to the spectacular Flinders Ranges. You really don’t know what your missing if you don’t go !!
