About Us

Our first camping experiences began with a swag and a few cooking instruments.  At that stage the only car we had was an old VS Commodore. Not exactly a great car to pack a swag and camping gear, but it did us for a few months and we did have lots of very funny experiences. Like the time we went to Edithburgh and got there late at night and it blew an absolute gale all night, when we got up the next morning we were right next to a wind farm !!

A few years later we decided to upgrade to a van – A Jayco Eagle, it was a much needed upgrade from a swag that’s for sure.  But we didn’t exactly love this van and only did one trip to Queensland. I remember the Jayco sales person that we had dealt with coming over to us at the Leisurefest at West Beach and saying “Hey guys hows the new van going?”  Our response was it’s good but we want to trade it in for this one – A Jayco Outback. He thought we were joking as we had waited 6 months to get the Eagle. He soon realised were were serious,  We had this van for a few years and loved it, but it still wasn’t our dream van.  It was in 2014 that we again ventured to a Caravan & camping show in Adelaide – just too look !!!  We walked out with a Crusader Excalibur And have never looked back.  
We always dreamed of one day doing the big trip around Oz but never imagined we would ever be able to do it.  
It was in November 2019 that that dream got a little bit closer as Jeff was made redundant from his job of 10 years.  It was then we decided that if we didn’t pursue our dream we would probably never do it at all.   

Then Covid-19 hit and our adventure has been somewhat delayed, but now in May 2020 we can start moving within our beautiful state of SA.
